Ischemic Stroke Treatment

An ischemic stroke results from the blockage of blood vessels, leading to subsequent brain damage. To promote recovery, minimally invasive injectable jammed gelatin-norbornene nanofibrous hydrogels are administered to the affected brain area. These hydrogels release angiogenic factors, which stimulate angiogenesis and improve sensorimotor functions. More details can be found in article 2403119 by Jae Geun Kim, Kwang Hoon Song, Sunggu Yang, and co-workers.
